Welcome to my Mutts Nuts website. I am Dave, I’ve been an engineer and specifically a motor vehicle technician since leaving school in 1981 when I started my 4 year apprenticeship with the REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers).

I’ve always been into motorbikes and especially 2 strokes since I was at school. I have a passion for doing things right and always treat every bike as if it was my own. If I am not happy with something I’ll say so and very rarely let a bike leave the workshop unless its 100%. Unless the customer insists!

I am always open to discussing/talking about bikes (2 stroke or otherwise) and happy to have a chat over a cuppa, so feel free to drop in if you are passing.

I have a fully equipped workshop including a DynoStar 4T Motorcycle, Quad, ATV and Kart dynometer, the only one of its kind in the UK, it is capable of testing the most powerful of bikes and is fully equipped with a load cell, retarder and twin air fuel and twin EGT sensors amongst other facilities.

It can take a quad with a plus 9″ swinging arm and front suspension with +2″ A arms and +2″ wheel rims, the maximum rear wheel span is 53″ and can handle in excess of 500+bhp if required !
